• New World Explorations Miami pod in 2022 and la Cumplida Refinada makes a return

New year, new pods. An addition to the World Explorations line will be available next month, Miami. Another city then, another pod inspired by the coffee culture of cities around the world that will join the already available Buenos Aires, Shanghai, Tokyo, Vienna, Cape Town and Stockholm. No info about what Miami will taste like. Considering that the taste profile of the pods in the same line aren’t exactly matching what the locals would consider “typical” coffee, it is hard to guess. We will know more in January, probably. A, perhaps not by everybody, welcomed return will be La Cumplida Refinada. It will be then the first limited edition pod…

Origin: Arabica coffee from Kenya, Indonesia and China Intensity: 5 Roasting: 2 Acidity: 2 Bitterness: 1 Body: 2 Order: Buy Shanghai Lungo at Amazon A new capsule in the World Explorations line, inspired by the coffee culture of Shanghai. Brown foam. Very intense aroma, sweet like biscuits, and strongly roasty. Barely noticeable in the aroma are floral hints like of roses and lavender. Acidic and dry at first, with a medium body. Initially, when the coffee is still quite hot, the acidity and dryness dominate. Roasty notes, not bitterness though, come to the fore at lower temperatures, while maintaining a vivacious acidity. Not much intense as a whole, with a…

Light brown crema. Sweet, clearly cereals-like, aroma. The smell has a good intensity too. A hint of spices, cardamom and nutmeg primarily, can be found within the aroma. Quite a dry coffee at the first sip, with a bitter aftertaste. Thin body, low intensity. A mellow coffee for sure. Dark cocoa flavors are the main source of bitterness, which can then clearly be considered a pleasant type of…

Intensity: 10 Bitterness: 4 Acidity: 1 Body: 4 Roasting: 5 The new 2021 blend for the classic Envivo Lungo that looks at Cape Town as inspiration for its renewed taste profile. Dark brown foam. Not a coffee with an intense aroma. Nuts, walnuts primarily, are the main characteristic of the smell, along with a distinct woodiness. Definitely a dark roasted coffee. More intense at the taste, full of caramel, liquorice but devoid of any sweetness. Dry, with a full body. At lower temperatures most of the characteristics of a dark roast and Robusta beans show: malt, wood, and bitterness prevail, little…
