Peru Organic Review
Light brown foam. Lightly roasted aroma, nutty mainly, with fruity undertones. At the taste is a pod of medium intensity and body, but quite creamy. Not much of an aftertaste. Lots of acidity, while no sweetness and little bitterness. Especially when hot the acidity is much over the bitterness. It is not a prominent type of acidity though, more subdued but well present nonetheless. A capsule with an acidity like white fruits, like pears and apples, rather than berries or citruses. Some notes of cereals and tobacco make up the rest of the taste profile. With a long-lasting crema, it is a creamy and acidic coffee, easy to enjoy. Peru…

Peru Organic available soon
The Peru Organic capsule, which has been available for the Vertuo professional line for some time, should become an Original line capsule soon, distributed in most markets. Obviously no precise date but “soon” should mean this November in this case.

CRU Kafe Organic Decaf review
The decaf offering from CRU Kafe, fully single origin from Peru. Organic, Fairtrade and 100% aluminium capsules. Light brown foam. Delicate aroma, resembling a coffee with milk or a milk chocolate bar. Sweet and velvety in mouth, a medium-bodied cup. The milk taste is the predominant one, with a bright acidity that complements the overall taste profile without contrasting it a bit. Some nutty notes can be noticed, of the more gentle ones like cashews. A delicate and harmonious coffee, boasting a very nice mouthfeel and a convincingly milky aroma.

Sendero Peru review
Light brown foam. Sweet, strong, aroma. The smell is clearly of caramel, to the point that just from it the coffee could pass for a flavored one. Medium body, good intensity. Bitterness is present, along with high acidity. Cherries-like acidity dominates the tasting experience, with little sweetness and bitterness that subsides at lower temperatures. A dark roast for coffee beans that were originally highly acidic. Capsules are fully compostable and all the coffee Sendero sells is ethically sustainable and sourced from smallholder, specialty grade, farms.

CRU Kafe Organic Dark Roast review
A multi-origin blend from CRU Kafe. Dark roasted, organic, Fairtrade and coming in 100% aluminum capsules. Brown foam. Malty and biscuit aroma, of a quite dark type. Sort of like an unsweetened toast. Medium body. Low acidity, as you’d expect from a dark roast. Bitterness prevails, with a pungent, nutty, aftertaste that is especially strong at lower temperatures. A coffee that leaves your mouth with its flavor even minutes after finished drinking it. Chocolate notes can be throughout the tasting felt, of a very, 90% cocoa content, kind. Good intensity.

CRU Kafe Organic Light Roast review
The very first blend created by CRU Kafe, Organic Light Roast is a multi-origin Peru, Indonesia and Ethiopia blend. Fully organic, Fairtrade and capsules are 100% aluminum. Light brown foam. Sweet and tea-like aroma. Somewhat acidic, but very lightly so. A tad of bitterness, subtle. chocolate-like, can be immediately discerned. A light-bodied cup, as light as a black tea would be. Acidity assumes a citrusy taste at lower temperatures. Floral notes pop up here and there throughout the tasting. Overall a light, smooth experience, with tea-like qualities and citrus and floral notes as the prevailing aspects.
