Brown foam. Nice aroma, somewhat sweet and cocoa-like. Both aren’t that present in the tasting though. At first quite acidic, medium intensity, with a nicely contrasting bitter aftertaste. Weak crema. Blackberries and peaches are the most prominent flavors in the cup. Overall a dry and acidic cup, with a light-body quality. Light brown foam. Fruity aroma dominates, pleasantly sweet. Traces of vague smokiness can be noticed in the smell too. A highly acidic cup, some woodiness when very hot that transforms into a delicate chocolate flavor. Inconsistent crema. At lower temperatures still some chocolate can be noticed but it’s mostly overwhelmed by the fruity acidity. Blueberries and low chocolate flavors are the most noticeable, for an acidic, medium-bodied, cup of coffee. Light brown foam. Sweet, strong, aroma. The smell is clearly of caramel, to the point that just from it the coffee could pass for a flavored one. Medium body, good intensity. Bitterness is present, along with high acidity. Cherries-like acidity dominates the tasting experience, with little sweetness and bitterness that subsides at lower temperatures. A dark roast for coffee beans that were originally highly acidic. Brown foam. Distinct cocoa and cereals aroma. Heavy body, with a velvet feel in mouth. Crema is quite persisting. Definitely a dark roast, with a strong intensity (I’d hazard a 9-10 on the classic Nespresso scale). Somewhat dry, possessing a moderate level of acidity, of berries-like quality. Throughout a cocoa leaning cup of coffee, with hints of acidity and a smooth mouthfeel. Capsules are fully compostable and all the coffee Sendero sells is ethically sustainable and sourced from smallholder, specialty grade, farms.

Light brown foam. Strong aroma, with an orange-like quality but still very much coffee’s. Acidic and bitter at first sip. Neither prevail over the other. When less warm, acidity becomes more prominent and a tenuous sweetness arises. A medium-light bodied cup. Low intensity. The bitterness, especially in the aroma, is alike a dark chocolate tablet. Orange and tangerine flavors are the most prominent in a coffee that overall doesn’t favor any, being extremely neutral and balanced.
