Forest Fruit Flavour Review

  • Origin: Arabica coffee from Brazil and Colombia
  • Roasting: 3
  • Acidity: 3
  • Bitterness: 3
  • Body: 3

A 2021 festive limited edition pod, with a cherry flavouring.

Light brown foam. Supremely sweet aroma, intensely of cherries. Hardly any trace of roastiness or any aspects that can classify the small as one of a typical coffee. Definitely an unique aroma.

Medium bodied and somewhat dry, initially, the cherry flavour dominates the taste profile as with the aroma. Biscuits and cereals can be noticed, mostly in the aftertaste. A granularity in the mouthfeel makes this coffee taste like a “liquid cherry cake”, just much less sweet. It may resemble some candies with cherries or raspberries, and increasingly so when added some sugar to it.

Perhaps surprisingly not high in acidity, nor in bitterness. Primarily a fruity, sweet, pod. Low intensity, tea-like. More similar to a typical coffee at lower temperatures, with a juicy roastiness coming to the fore and the fruitiness taking a step back.

A cake/candy like coffee, strong in cherry flavour and sweetness. It can feel unlike a proper coffee and more like a liquid candy or cake. Can be too sweet with a sweetener.

Overall Forest Fruit Flavour is fruity, sweet, light and overwhelmingly cherry-leaning. One for lovers of sweet, gentle, fun coffee.
