Vienna Linizio Lungo

Vienna Linizio Lungo Review

  • Origin: natural processed Bourbon coffee from Brazil and Arabica from Colombia
  • Intensity: 6
  • Roasting: 3
  • Acidity: 1
  • Bitterness: 2
  • Body: 2

The new 2021 blend, inspired by Vienna and its coffee culture, substituting the classic Linizio Lungo.

Brown foam. Sweet and roasty aroma, with distinct cocoa notes. Dairy-like acidity can be smelled as well, creating an interesting aromatic mix.

A caramel-like sweetness united with milky notes is immediately recognizable at hot temperatures. Bitterness is present in the aftertaste, nearly exclusively. Medium body, probably a medium roast too.

Cocoa and malted notes start to prevail at lower temperatures, blending with milk ones. When not very hot it becomes quite a well balanced coffee, with similar amounts of sweetness, acidity, and bitterness. The latter two may be considered slightly prevailing over the sweetness.

A smooth cup, overall. A capsule that works extremely well in milk-based drinks, like cappuccinos and flat whites. Foamy and with a juicy sweetness that contrasts the bitterness and malted notes when brewed as an espresso. Quite a filling mouthfeel too when brewed in smaller sizes.

An intensely smooth capsule that gives the feeling of an “old Europe” coffee. Smooth and balanced.
