Soon, possibly by around mid February already, the flavoured capsules, Ciocattino, Vanilio and Caramelito will be revamped too, as recently happened to the Ispirazione Italiana new line.
Nothing is known for certain so far but for the new names that will be:
- Ciocattino -> Cocoa Truffle
- Caramelito -> Caramel Crème Brulée
- Vanilio -> Vanilla Eclair
It is possible that they will have a different taste as it is rumored they won’t be based off Livanto anymore but they will get their own blend.

Nooooo! Caramelito is my favourite flavour and Creme Brulee is not!!! really unhappy about this 🙁
What happened to “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it “?
I just tried the Caramel Crème Brulée (replacement for Caramelito). I am not happy with the change. Caramelito had a subtle caramel flavor but remained distinctly coffee. The replacement has an overpowering, artificially flavored caramel taste and is much more bitter than its predecessor.
Thanks for the update. We’re waiting for the new capsules to be in stock again where we’re but a review will come as soon as we get them. It seems you’re not the first disliking the new flavour. Probably the base changed for the worst (darker roasted? Robusta?) and it was attempted to be covered with more artificial flavouring.

However when you get to checkout, Ciocattino isn’t available after all. However Caramelito is. You can’t even add Vanilio to your basket.
It’s frustrating these flavours have been removed as they were regulars in our monthly shop. I’ll try the alternative Cocoa Truffle (1p more), but it’s been out of stock for weeks.
I only drink Vanilio and I do not like vanilla eclair I’m am so upset

Oh No! Caramelito is the only capsules we liked and we bought for few years. Try many others capsules but we kept coming back to caramelito. It is very disappointing they are no longer available. What should I do with my subscription balance. We just don’t want to buy something we know we are not enjoy.
Can I get them from any other stores overseas (UK or US) using my subscription credit?
Not with your credit, sorry. But capsules are usually available on Ebay from 3rd party sellers for a long while after they’ve been discontinued by Nespresso. Besides, have you tried the new flavour? Perhaps you will like it.
I’m in agreement with most others, the new Caramelito replacement is awful! It was the only flavor I liked, and looked forward to my laté every morning, now I’m thinking god selling my Nespresso machine. Please bring back the original flavor!!
Caramelito has been our favourite for years. Help! They are the reason for buying Nespresso machines. We will not buy the replacements and change to another brand, no Nespresso anymore for us.
I just found out about this and I am so disappointed. Carmelito is also the only one I liked and we also gave this to our guests. The new flavors are terrible, so we have no reason to use Nespresso anymore.
