    We continue our comparison of the old vs new capsules of the Ispirazione Italiana line with the Livanto and the Ispirazione Genova Livanto. This is not a review of either capsules.   • Flavoured capsules being revamped too

    Soon, possibly by around mid February already, the flavoured capsules, Ciocattino, Vanilio and Caramelito will be revamped too, as recently happened to the Ispirazione Italiana new line. Nothing is known for certain so far but for the new names that will be: Ciocattino -> Cocoa Truffle Caramelito -> Caramel Crème Brulée Vanilio -> Vanilla Eclair It is possible that they will have a different taste as it is rumored they won’t be based off Livanto anymore but they will get their own blend.

    Rebranding of some capsules

    According to various sources (Nespresso Uk website and the newsletter), there will be a rebranding of some original line capsules and a welcome return. In short: Dharkan is being phased out in favour of “Ispirazione Napoli“. This will be a different blend with a different profile. Kazaar is being renamed as “Ispirazione Palermo“. Ristretto will be named “Ispirazione Ristretto Italiano”. Arpeggio will be named “Ispirazione Firenze Arpeggio“. Roma will change only the name in “Ispirazione Roma“. Livanto will undergo a rebranding to “Ispirazione Genova Livanto“.     Origin: a blend of medium roasted Central and South American Arabica coffee, from Guatemala, Colombia and Brazil. Intensity: 6 Bitterness: 3 Acidity: 3 Body: 3 Roasting: 3 Order: Buy Livanto capsules at Amazon Brown/gold foam. Intensely sweet and malty aroma, quite fresh, reminding of newly-opened coffee bags. Tasting it at first reveal a medium roasted coffee, with a good amount of gentle bitterness that intertwines with sweetness. Only slightly acidic. Medium bodied, the crema is not much thick nor long lasting. The aromatic profile leans towards “breakfast” flavors: a milky sweetness with a yogurt-like acidity and plenty of cereal notes.
