Indonesia Review
A mix of the strong aspects of the India’s capsule with a more gentle flavor coming from the island of Java. A Master Origin capsule from 2018. Brown foam. Sweet, of very ripe, nearly fermented, fruits aroma. Fragrant, with pleasant roasty notes. Quite dry and bitter at the first sip, with a noticeably acidic aftertaste. A medium/dark roast, probably, or a blend of both. Lovers of thick espresso’s crema will love Indonesia: its foam is dense, with tobacco-like notes. Medium, close to heavy, body. While at the high temperatures the bitterness dominates, at medium ones floral flavors complement the aromatic profile, making it more balanced. It remains an intense, bitter…

Paris Black Review
A Limited Edition from 2018, inspired by the Parisian cafés and French roasts. Brown foam. Nice aroma, burnt and nutty. Medium body. Definitely bitter at first sip. Medium acidity throughout the tasting. Strong and bitter overall, trumping all other flavors, the most noticeable being pepper/spicy. A very dark roast and experience, closely resembling the one of French coffee houses.

India Review
Very brown foam. Nice smell when brewing, slightly burnt. Could appeal a lot of die-hard espresso fans. In the mouth, hints of wood, maybe even chocolate (dark one obviously), perhaps a spicy kind of chocolate bar. The flavor is definitely intense. Bitter. Low acidity. A bit of a salty ending.

Ethiopia Review
An easy cup, extremely light foam, thin even. Definitely a cereals/fruity smell. No acidity. Dense in the mouth, it fills it very well. Tends to linger on the back of the palate. Fruity flavours increase during the tasting, tending towards the orange blossom and ripe fruits.

Hawaii Kona returning in June (US-only)
Another 2018 Limited Edition capsule coming back this year, unfortunately only for the US market. Prices will be steep, most definitely.

Ispirazione Salentina Review
A Limited Edition from 2018, specifically thought to make an Italian-styled iced coffee, with sugar syrup and milk. With a dark brown color of cream and a moderately strong smell. The capsule is of pretty intense flavor, mostly bitter/strong. Somewhat nutty too. It would be not very far from what an espresso would taste like in an Italian café, even if for some it would be too bitter to be tasted straight. Which is why Nespresso targeted as a capsule to be drank with milk and iced. But for those used to very dark roasts, Italian/French like, it can be appreciated as a black coffee too.
